Planners reject Mirvac towers in St Leonards
Mirvac has hit a stumbling block at its St Leonards Square residential project, following a North Sydney Joint Regional Planning Panel decision to reject the development application.
Planners have voted to defer approval of the two-tower apartment project known as St Leonards Square, asking for supplemental information believed to be regarding setbacks and their compliance with SEPP 65 regulations.
The decision comes as a blow for the developer, which was advancing plans for a launch of the first phase of the 500-unit development in coming weeks. “Mirvac will work closely with the Lane Cove Council to resolve concerns raised by the JRPP,” a Mirvac spokesman said.
Lane Cove Council has expressed broad support for the development throughout the marketing process, arguing that the project will bring more streetlife and amenities to St Leonards, which is serviced by a major railway hub.
Other sources indicated the planning issues could easily be resolved with supplemental information provided to the JRPP.
Located in the heart of St Leonards, the 500-apartment complex and mixed-use hub was slated to be Mirvac’s first residential launch of the year, and another step in a strategy to focus on high-density developments on inner rings of the city.
Mirvac paid $121m for the Pacific Highway parcel, buying it from Leighton Properites. The building was Leighton Holdings headquarters for many years.

其实我也对这个盘很感兴趣,但是我朋友的中介公司忽悠我去买另外一个,我还想看看3个盘的所有资料呢。
貌似价格都差不多。但是对mirvac的质量放心很多。所以刚刚上网查的时候就发现这个新闻了。

估计楼上很多人搞错了, MIrvac悉尼的盘怎么会给中介卖,都是自己公司的销售卖的,应该还没有开卖。 中介卖的如果没有猜错应该是CBRE那个新希望集团的盘,个人感觉会被Mirvac之后的盘挡住不少大桥景观,若是我肯定等Mirvac.

很正常。很少有DA第一次就批准的,康叟要讨价还价,提出很多要求,开发商要“改进“其方案,满足康叟的要求,如增加共用停车场,共用过道,外面绿化,等等。这样再过一到两轮后,才能批准。有经验的开发商根本就不着急,正如其发言人所说,要和康叟就提出的问题进行讨论。
