As part of the 2012-13 Budget the government announced the consolidation of eight dependency tax offsets into a single, streamlined and non-refundable tax offset.
The tax offsets to be consolidated are:
Invalid spouse tax offset
Carer spouse tax offset
Housekeeper tax offset
Housekeeper (with child) tax offset
Child-housekeeper tax offset
Child-housekeeper (with child) tax offset
Invalid relative tax offset
Parent/parent-in-law tax offsets.
The new consolidated tax offset will only be available to taxpayers who maintain a dependant who is genuinely unable to work due to carer obligation or disability from 1 July 2012

Where did you see this is for current financial year? It clearly says "As part of the 2012-13 Budget " and "from 1 July 2012".
Read it carefully before you comment.

什么是invalid spouse tax offset?? 之前的 spouse tax offset 没有了吗？ 之前只要spouse是低收入，都可以有一些offset，现在变成要 "unable to work due to carer obligation or disability"??
