Hi,
Depend on what you mean by an ABN number tax return, is it a sole trader, company, or trust?
also depends on the size of the business, and if you are just after a tax return, or does the $700 covers both tax return and financial statments.
if it is purely tax return work, assuming the business is not very large in size, then i'd say $700 is overpriced

Hard to say, maybe you went to a large accounting firm where they charge a high hourly rate. there are cheaper ones around too, but make sure you find a reliable accountant who knows what he/she is doing.
