没有medicare的不是local居民,应该不用交medicare levy的吧

你只有二种选择:not an Australian resident for tax purposes 税率更重,or Australian resident for tax purposes are subject to a Medicare levy.

听说非PR可以向ATO申请豁免,很多会计师声称可以代办这事.

International students do not receive medicare benifits, not subjected to medicare levy.
if income is under this year's threshold, employer will not withhold your medicare levy in your tax. if the student's income is over threshold, he/she may be charged levy in their tax withheld by employer, then the student needs to apply a Certificate of Exemption from Medicare Australia before lodging a tax return. All levies will be refunded.

我不是student,但是working visa.也可以申请certificate of exemption from medicare 吗？申请到了，如休大师所说，会不会把我列为not an Australian resident for tax purposes ，那岂不是税更重？

若果你没申请pr ,年收入超过2万5,可以申请.收入太低豁免没什么意义.
