今天收到中介转来的一封信,信的题目是:landlords are surffering too--it's time to make the $2500 subsidy available to those who need it. 全文大致如下:
On the 16th of May 2020, NSW parliament gave the government the power to assist landlords who are called upon to provide support to their tenants economically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
After considerable debate, parliament determinded that in the circumstances where a landlord is called upon to assist a tenant with a rent reduction, then the landlord is entitled (if the specified criteria is satisfied) to receive a $2500 subsidy from government.
By doing this, parliament has acknowledged, that accompanying its expectation that landlords assist tenants during these difficult times. there also exists an obligation to support landlords.

看了全文,但还是不太理解。我的投资房前租客4月中旬刚刚退租,为了找到下一个租客,我每周降了$30才在5月下旬租了出去。请问我有资格申请这个补贴吗?谢谢!

目前好像只是国会立法授权给了政府,尚未见到各州政府的具体政策细则。
政府还有一个对房东减免土地税的政策,然而土地税原本就有一个缴纳门槛,如果投资房不多或者投资房都是公寓,土地价值很难达到这个门槛,原本就不缴纳土地税,也就无从谈起减免了。
