The grandfather of two boys killed by leaking fumes believed to have been from a faulty heater in northern Victoria on the weekend has condemned the public for jumping to conclusions about their tragic deaths.
维州北部两名男孩于周末丧命，疑是因一台失修的暖气泄漏煤气所致。其祖父强烈谴责公众对男童的死因妄下论断。
Charlie Robinson said the speculation was fuelled media reports that suggested the boys' mother, Vanessa Robinson, was responsible for their deaths. He also slammed comments on a Facebook page that accused Ms Robinson of having a role in the tragedy.

"My son was absolutely devastated at some of the things being said on a Facebook [page] ... that they were saying about Vanessa," he told Radio 3AW today.

The bodies of Chase, 9, and Tyler, 7, were found in in a bedroom at their home in Mooroopna, near Shepparton.

Victoria Police, having initially treated the boys' deaths as suspicious and taken Ms Robinson, 29, in for questioning, yesterday cleared her of any wrong-doing, saying they now believed the deaths were an accident.

The Age understands comments on a Facebook page set up after the boys' deaths accused Ms Robinson having a role in the boys' death.

Mr Robinson's son Scott, the father of the dead boys, went to their school yesterday and has travelled to Melbourne to be with his ex-wife, who is under police guard at St Vincent's Hospital.

Detective Inspector Bernie Edwards said he regretted that people made assumptions but that it was hard to avoid.
