我是去年买的房子出租了，也收到中介的信说要valid compliance certificate and register,不知道前房主有没有这个啊，怎么查呢？

Council可以吧， GOOGLE也可以直接找。 出个证明就可以。

Council应该有负责的部门，会上门inspect.有详细规定的，自己要先检查好，否则会多charge的，因为要整改，他们再来看。

Book with council inspector directly. Cheaper and much more efficient. Council is the one who's issuing the compliance certificate.
If you book with independent inspector, they still have to report issues to council in some scenario.
