今天和HR Manager 开会，说到一个procedure的问题，她就问, (touch wood) would anyone know where to find the document if you get run over by a truck today?
我当然知道她是想说，有没有很清晰的流程，别人马上接手能不能找到。
但这个比喻是不是很rude？还是本地人觉得拿这个作比喻没有什么。她也说了touch wood。
和这个经理平时关系也还可以。没什么冲突。

我以前的经理也举过一摸一样的例子。。。我是run over by a bus。。。你是truck。。。
我也是一愣。。我和她关系也不错。。。现在习惯了，但是也不会这么说给别人举例。。。

其实是有documentation，只是说要在哪里找得到。文件都在公共盘上。
很难想象，一个大企业的documentation都还没有实现无纸化。嘴上叫不能再保留access或者excel sheet，一方面提供的online system又不能满足business needs.

I'd prefer a multi-culture environment if possible.

具体到个人身上，难免不会有点儿想法。
礼拜一开会，也是某个流程问题，目前只有1个女的负责，老板就说，万一她病了，谁能暂时替补？结果那女的就立刻说，万一她休假的话，谁来替补她。看样子她还挺介意的。
其实老板一天到晚忙死了，根本注意不到这么多细节，估计没什么恶意。
