I know it means numbers. however, what does it stand for? Does "PAX" equal to "number of people"?

Thanks. I googled and it said the same thing. However, this one is not used for flights. just the invoice for tourism. Is it a jargon to be used in tourism industry?Or, is it a jargon to mean the number of people that have been charged? for example, if 4 adults are charged and 2 kids are free, could we say 6PAX?

um... no idea...
if there are 6 adults we would say 6pax for sure
but if there are 4adults and 2 kids we would say 4ad plus 2 ch, since children will be charged a low rate
