If we meet and I say, “Hi!”
That’s a salutation.
If you ask me how I feel,
That’s consideration.
If we stop and talk a while,
That’s a conversation.
If we understand each other,
That’s communication.
If we argue, scream, and fight,
That’s an altercation,
If later we apologize,
That’s reconciliation.
If we help each other home,
That’s cooperation.
And all these ations added up
Make civilization.
(And if I say this is a wonderful poem,
Is that exaggeration?)

不是的。我也琢磨过这个题目一阵子，后来明白了。你看我红字高亮出来的单词都是以“ation”结尾的名词。这首诗巧妙的将这些以“ation”结尾的名词，点缀在诗中，读起来，感觉也很押韵。
