The very 1st sentence goes:
As we put rubber to road on our Motorola Xoom review, it's important to note that it was only a matter of time before the Android army delivered a proper iPad competitor.
I had no idea what put rubber to road was. Then I searched for answer on google. Also I consulted with my aussie colleauges.
Do you know what put rubber to road means? Take a guess if you don't.

意思是上路了ie. put into action or practice
