You can say: In this occasion I need to reconsider my options. But not: In this occasion of xxx I then yyy.
In the occasion of 是泛指某种情况下。e.g.: In the occasion of heavy raining, you can work from home instead.

我觉得用occasion 比较少见
一般用in this case，in this situation，under the circumstances比较好
