Alan开始罗嗦: Well, I can see that, but it's not really based on quantity of items. It's more of a we-were-here-before-you kind of deal.
壮汉开始威胁：you gonna make a thing out of this?
继续威胁......
Alan让步：You know what?If you're in such a big hurry, why don't you just go ahead?
......
Alan给charlie解释：no, no, not chicken, just good common sense.Fighting accomplishes nothing.
Charlie讽刺Alan：Oh, I didn't know you were so french.

Yes. It has to do with 2nd WW. When the Germans occupied France. There were only a small portion of people that were passionate about opposing the Germans. They were called the the French Résistance. Most French were very accommodating. Many even relationships with the German soldiers.
Also, the French as a whole have a laid back culture. Their shops usually only open for 3 hours at a time during the day. Working overtime and above their scope is unheard of. Basically, they can't be bothered much.

平时中午电视演seinfeld，单位几个同事特爱看，厨房里常常传出来他们哈哈大笑。

当时最讽刺的是戴高乐早期一力主张发展坦克集团军的， 没被法国高层采纳， 结果反而是看了这本书的德军军方高层深受启发， 全力发展坦克集团军， 结果法国和全世界都杯具了。
最可气的是现在法国人贫什么看不起说其它语种的人， 没本事拽什么拽。
