Day 1 Cairo
Arrive Cairo in late afternoon. Transfer to Ramses Hilton Hotel on the right bank of the River Nile. Relax and freshen up for a 3 hour night cruise on the Nile with sumptuous buffet, belly-dance and Tannoura dance shows and fantastic night views of the city.

Day 2 Giza & Saqqara
Have a big buffet breakfast at the hotel for a big day out. First we arrive at the Giza Plateau to see the Pyramids and Sphinx plus a half hour camel ride. Lunch box, bottled water and iced towel provided. Then onwards to the necropolis of Saqqara, site of the intriguing Step Pyramid, world’s oldest pyramid. Back to hotel at 6pm. Evening at leisure.

Optional tours: Sunset Felucca Ride on the Nile
Sail on the Nile for 1.5hours and enjoy the sunset, with English-speaking guide describing main Cairo sights on both banks.

Day 3 Cairo
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Arrive at the Egyptian Museum at 9.30am. Our journey through the ancient Egyptian history starts from the ground floor. Lunch box and bottled water provided during the break. In the afternoon we continue from Royal Mummy Room on the first floor as it closes a half-hour before the rest of the museum. We exodus from Egyptian Museum in late afternoon, followed by a dinner at the upmarket French Restaurant Justine. Evening at leisure.

Day 4 Cairo
Buffet breakfast at the hotel before we check out. Today we discover the highlights of the Islamic Cairo. First a visit to Al-Azhar Mosque, which has been a mosque and university for a thousand years. Then we find out how elegant and sophisticated life in 18th-century Cairo could be with a visit to Beit Suhaymi. Lunch at Café Riche for a taste of nostalgia and French-influenced Egyptian grill dishes. In the afternoon we explore Mosque of Qaitbey, the jewel of Mamluk architecture and Gayer-Anderson Museum. Take a coffee break at Fishawi's Coffeehouse at Cairo’s great bazaar, Khan Al-Khalili. Take your time enjoying the Turkish coffee and people-watching as the café has been open 24 hours a day for the last 200 years. Arrive at the Cairo Tower at sunset for a panoramic view as millions of twinkling lights come to life. Dinner at the tower’s rotating restaurant, late President Gamal Abdul Nasser’s best place to dine out in Cairo. Get onboard the last deluxe sleeper train departing Cairo at 9.10pm for Aswan

Day5 Aswan
Arrive fresh and relaxed at Egypt’s southernmost city---Aswan. Check into Sofitel Old Cataract Aswan, one of Egypt’s most famous and historic hotels. The hotel inspired Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile and its exterior was used in the movie. Buffet brunch at the hotel with fantastic views of the Nile. Relax, take a shower or even have an afternoon nap. Aswan is the perfect place for a break from the rigours of visiting temple after temple after temple and catching Ancient Egyptian Overload (AEO). Afternoon at leisure. You can explore the Aswan markets for souvenirs of every kind, or just sit under a palm tree and watch the feluccas sail by! In the early evening we set off to see the Sound and Light Show at Temple of Philae.

Day6 Aswan
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. This morning we travel south to see an engineering miracle---High Dam and admire the stark beauty of the world’s largest artificial lake formed by the building of the High Dam---Lake Nasser. In early afternoon we abandon our coach and cruise our way along the Nile back to our hotel. Enjoy succulent river catches of the day onboard and unforgettable scenery on both banks of the Nile and Aswan’s many islands including Kitchener’s Island and Elephantine Island. Evening at leisure.

Day7 Abu Simbel
Early morning transfer to Aswan domestic airport. Onboard Egypt Air’s 45 min flight to Abu Simbel. Breakfast boxes prepared on board. Marvel at Egypt’s most stunning monument---the Great Temple of Ramses II as the sun rises above the horizon. We also visit the Temple of Hathor, built in honor of Rameses’ wife, Queen Nefertari. Fly back to Aswan in mid morning. Relax and freshen up before we check out. Before noon we board M/S Oberoi Philae on the Nile upstream. Your cabin onboard this 5-star Nile River Cruise features private balconies, private bathrooms and central air-conditioning with individual control. Lunch onboard. In the afternoon we visit the Temple of Kom Ombo a.k.a. the dual Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Watching the sun set on the Nile while we sip Captain’s welcome cocktail (smart casual attire) before a 3 course dinner.

Day8 Edfu
Breakfast onboard. We disembark and travel by horse to the Temple of Horus, the most completely preserved Egyptian temple and one of the last great Pharaonic monuments to be built in Egypt. Lunch onboard as the cruise heads upstream for Luxor. Afternoon at leisure. Arrive at Luxor in the evening. Check into Sheraton Luxor Resort on the east bank of the Nile. Dinner at the hotel’s Italian Restaurant La Mamma. After dinner we enjoy a 1.5 hr Sound-and-Light Show at Karnak.

Day9 Luxor---East Bank
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today’s exploration of the world’s largest open-air museum starts from the east bank of the Nile. First, transfer to Karnak. In Karnak we take a walking tour of the enormous Amun Temple Enclosure (Great Hypostyle Hall), the Mut Temple Enclosure, the Montu Temple Enclosure and the Open-Air Museum. On our way back we hire horse-drawn carriages to British-run Jamboree Restaurant that serves a mixture of Egyptian and international fare. After late lunch we visit Luxor Museum. Before dusk, we glide along the Nile in feluccas and watch the sun set behind the mountains of Thebes. Evening at leisure.

Day10 Luxor---East Bank
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today we continue our exploration on the east bank. Transfer to Luxor Temple. A walking tour of this strikingly graceful piece of architecture is followed by a visit to the Mummification Museum. Transfer to hotel. Relax, freshen up and late lunch at the hotel before check out. Transfer via the new road bridge across the Nile to the West Bank. Stopover at Colossi of Memnon. Arrive in late afternoon and check into Hotel Al Moudira, a palace-style luxury hotel just 4 kilometers away from the Valley of Kings. Relax after an active morning of historical exploration by enjoying the hotel’s massages, Turkish baths and swimming pool. Evening at leisure.

Day11 Luxor---West Bank
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Donkey ride to the Valley of the Kings. Lunch box, bottled water and iced towel provided for today’s full day tour of a dozen tombs including highlights like Tomb of Tutankhamun. Transfer to hotel in late afternoon to relax and freshen up. Transfer to Tutankhamun Restaurant for traditional Egyptian food. The rest of the evening at leisure.

Day12 Luxor---West Bank
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. An early morning transfer to Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir al-Bahri. Then onwards to Assasif Tombs, Tombs of the Nobles and the Ramesseum. Late lunch at Ramesseum Rest House. After lunch we visit the Workmen’s Village at Deir al-Medina. Then onwards to Valley of the Queens, with highlights including Tomb of Nefertari. Transfer to hotel and check out. Transfer to Luxor Airport and board an evening Egyptair flight to Sharm El Sheikh. Transfer from Sharm El Sheikh Airport to the luxurious Moevenpick Jolie Ville Golf & Resort, our base for the coming days on the Sinai Peninsula.

Day13 Sharm el Sheikh
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to St Katherine’s Monastery at the foot of Mt Sinai. The monastery was established in the 4th century AD and is still in operation. Afterwards we take the 2-hour camel trail up Mt Sinai where Moses is believed to have received the Ten Commandments. Picnic lunch on the summit of Mt Sinai while watching the surrounding rocks and cliffs changing color. In mid-afternoon we take the 3,750 Steps of Repentance while enjoying a great view of the St Katherine’s Monastery on our way back down. Evening at leisure with recreational activity options aplenty: night markets, casinos, discos, nightclubs…

Day14 Sharm el Sheikh
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by boat to Ras Mohammed National Park, famous to divers the world over as the jewel in the crown of the Red Sea. Our guide/dive coach will lead you to a world of the best coral reefs and tropical fish in the region. BBQ lunch on the beach and enjoy a very different landscape from the underwater world. We depart Ras Mohammed National Park in mid-afternoon for a city tour around Sharm el Sheikh. Spend an unforgettable evening at Al-Fanar, with Italian delicacies, endless flow of champagne and unforgettable sunset views of the Red Sea. Rest of the evening at leisure

I traveled in Egypt in early 2005 on our way to Jordan. As Jordan was the major destination during that tour, we stayed in Egypt for only 2 nights. Yet the kingdom of the Pharaohs has captured my imagination ever since. The above is an itinerary I prepared for a future trip with pictures downloaded from the internet. I wish to stay there for at least one month if I can.

这2年看很多人提到埃及那里的旅游业的从业人员比较dodgy,比如坐骆驼看金字塔,已经说好价钱了,到了一半说要加价等等,总之不令人愉快
anyway,lz去过约旦啊埃及啊这些不怎么"常规"的地方,行万里路,还是让人羡慕不已.

Yeah. You’d be asked to pay to “get onto” the camel and pay again to “get off” it. Therefore remember don’t pay until you have got off it.
And as salaries in Egypt are low, tipping is expected for almost all services. For example, using the toilet is free, but tipping the staff handing you a tissue to dry your hands is almost compulsory.
