今天一早七点钟，我孩子查了网络刚刚知道VCE成绩出来了，是99.65，说来惭愧，我平时工作太忙，对孩子的高考还真没怎么顾得上，对这个分数没有什么概念，请教各位前辈，这个分数到底是个什么概念？可以上什么大学和专业？特别说明一下，这个绝对不是什么炫耀贴，真诚希望得到大家的帮忙。

You are among the handful of gifted students who can breeze into law (honours) at Monash (which had an ATAR of 98 this year), biomedicine at Melbourne (98.85) or civil engineering at RMIT (98.10), and you're almost certain to be offered a place in a course for a medical path if you want it.
Other reliable options: optometry at Deakin (95.15), commerce at Melbourne (95), pharmacy at Monash (92.15) and property law at Deakin (92). But are you ready to sign up for adulthood so soon? Maybe there's a tiny voice inside you that whispers: "Film and television at Swinburne (92.55)."

Average ATAR is 94.27
Median is 96.85
18.44 per cent of students ranked above 99

This year, 35 students received the highest possible ATAR of 99.95, which puts them in the top 0.05 per cent in the state. Let's hear from the other 46,941 students also getting the news about their big year.
The VCE completion rate in 2015 was 97.7 per cent, almost identical to last year's all-time high.
And 8.8 per cent of study scores issued by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority were 40 or above.
This equated to 14,770 students receiving at least one study score above 40.

So you scored 80-plus. You're not off to med school, but there are plenty of options.
Solidly professional entry points still abound, like construction management at RMIT (82), banking and finance at Monash's Caulfield campus (82.50) and electrical engineering at Swinburne (83.95).
You could even scrape into law at Deakin (85.65) and science at Melbourne Uni isn't out of reach (86).
But other rewarding, perhaps less obvious, careers beckon, too, like criminal justice administration at RMIT (83.05), speech pathology at Australian Catholic University (83.05), exercise and sport science at Deakin's Burwood campus (83.95) or even journalism at Monash (84.3).

The median study score was 38 and the median ATAR was 92.88.
