昨天碰到一个很熟的中介, 他说很确定Glen Waverley High 会变成selective school，今天打电话给学校了，学校说：
The government school will remain as non-selective. Also if there is to be any changes made to the school zone boundaries, it would not be in the near future.
The biggest change would be "renting in the school zone". I was told today that:
- If you rent a property within the Glen Waverley Secondary College zone, you cannot have a property elsewhere. The school conducts property searches to ensure all students' families have their primary homes within the school zone.
- You must provide full evidence that the lease contract is for at least 12 months if the family doesn't buy a property within the Glen Waverley Secondary College catchment area within that time frame.
- For however long the student is attending Glen Waverley Secondary College, he/she MUST reside WITHIN the catchment area. This means that if the family wishes to buy a property after renting in the catchment zone, that new property would also have to be in the zone. I guess some negotiations can be made, I was told that the school may offer some assistance regarding that matter.
