James Ruse is probably a school that you might know quite well. Probably even better than me. Anyway, I went to the Orientation Day and, well, it was really quite fun and neat.
You might know that students who go to James Ruse are stereotyped as nerds, right? Well apparently not. They have really good bands, orchestras and all the others as well as swimming teams that are actually quite fast. There are a lot of other sporty-type teams and stuff in between. I certainly won't get bored.
When someone mentions James Ruse, you would instantly picture farms, wooden shacks that are totally ruined and animals. There is also a crazy myth that I heard from my friend. "James Ruse? Don't they give birth to baby animals?" I was actually really scared. That was actually my mistake as well. Every year, the students raise money to give to the school. They are currently working on buying air conditioners to every classroom. It is a really good community.
You would start to worry about bullying in high school. But at James Ruse, the seniors go crazy at new comers. I was actually a little intimidated by their enthusiasm but I guess it is supposed to be good. They will lead you around so you probably won't get helplessly lost. Just ask and you'll get there.
I think James Ruse is a really healthy environment and I definitely recommend you to think about it if you get an invitation.

孩子只是告诉我第二天要早到学校, 带领新学生和家长参观学校. 我问他选peer suport leader 的标准是什么，他说不知道，在之前的camp时，很多同学在老师面前表现，希望得到这个位置，他没有想，也没有去表现，结果意外被老师通知成为leader. 我自认为学校要表现风貌，可能是看身高长相吧。。
那天早上到学校，发现他因为起晚了，头都没梳，还说他不注意仪表，别给JR丢脸。

This is just after the first day of James Ruse and well, I found it pretty good after a while. At first I was worried that I would get lost, but with the help of my friends, common sense and the seniors, I found it less stressful.
Being different from everybody else is nearly what everyone does on their first day. But a LOT of the seniors helped me. On the bus, I didn't tuck my shirt in. I didn't notice other people until a senior told me to tuck it in or the teachers would get really mad at me. And apparently ' You don't want to get on the bad side of them'. Fingers pointed.
I found it quite enjoyable because, well, everyone could make jokes without thinking that they were embarrassing themselves. It was quite a laughable experience.
One thing I didn't like was the crowdiness of the school. When I first came, there were hundreds of other people waiting there. It was really squishy when the teachers put the classes on the windows. Everyone was around it and was really hard to see anything.
Overall though, I liked it. Because the three reasons overuled the one, I guess it was pretty enjoyable
