Made In Bondi has hit filming difficulties as its cast are reportedly failing to show up for filming on time.

Channel Seven's Made In Chelsea spin-off series started filming scenes on the iconic beachfront last month, but has allegedly already dealt with some on-set issues.

An insider has claimed that some of the cast members are 'running their own race' and going 'MIA', failing to show up on time for scheduled filming.

They told The Daily Telegraph: 'The cast members are taking no notice of what's expected of them and aren't taking the process seriously.

'They will be scheduled to turn up to a shoot and will go MIA.'

The official cast for the debut series of Made In Bondi is yet to be confirmed, though a string of names were previously rumoured to be signing up for the show.

Model Montana Cox, designer Sophie Coote and Jodi Gordon's entrepreneur ex Aidan Walsh were said to be lined up by producers for season one, however it has since been reported that they all declined the opportunity.

An insider previously claimed that producers may have had difficulty wooing the big names - including Body by Berner pilates founder Bernadette Fahey, and socialite couple Andy El-Bayeh and Harriet Williams.

'Most of these people don't really see the benefit of starring on the show,' they told The Daily Telegraph.

It is expected that a whole new group of glamorous Bondi locals will feature on the reality TV series, which is bringing the Made In Chelsea concept Down Under.

Made In Chelsea, filmed in the affluent London borough, has been running for 26 series and follows a glitzy group of locals as they navigate their love lives and other challenges.

The wildly popular show has propelled a whole host of recognisable faces to huge fame, including the likes of Sam Thompson, Millie Mackintosh, Spencer Matthews, Binky Felstead and Jamie Laing.

Now, Australian viewers will be given a glimpse inside the lives of a group of glitzy and glamorous Bondi locals in the hotly-anticipated spin-off series.

Channel Seven were spotted shooting scenes with a mystery bikini-clad influencer on the beach last month, as a camera crew followed her every move.

Late last year, the current Made In Chelsea cast - including the likes of Hugo Mackenzie-Wood and Sam Prince - jetted Down Under to meet the new Made In Bondi crew.

They filmed scenes for a five-episode Made In Chelsea: Sydney special, which aired in the UK in December, setting the scene for its Bondi spin-off.

Sydney locals Mia Loehr, Tayla Cohen, JJ Van Der Vliet, Lachlan Mclean and Isabella Cicero all joined the special edition of the show. It has not been confirmed if they will continue on the Bondi edition of the show.

Made in Bondi will follow the lives and loves of Sydney's party set who call the seaside location home.

Viewers can expect a front-row seat to jaw-dropping parties, breathtaking fashion, sizzling romances, and plenty of drama.

Seven programming executive Angus Ross said of the new show: 'Set against the backdrop of some of Australia's most affluent and beautiful suburbs – and with an amazing cast of Sydney locals.

'Made in Bondi will be an addictive, glamorous and wild ride that will have viewers hooked from the first minute.'
