前两周在一位眼科医师那里检查了眼睛视力。检查的结果比我以前的眼镜度数要低不少。我怀疑是不是这位医师检查的结果不准确，所以想重新找一位眼科医师检查一下，两份结果对照着印证一下。
我想问的就是，这种Medicare cover的眼科检查有次数限制么？比如两年内只有一次是cover的。如果有的话，是不是第二次检查我就要自己掏钱了？

There are a number of Budget changes that come into effect in 2015.
The Budget 2014-15 introduced a number of changes to optometry services under Medicare from 1 January 2015.
Your optometrist can now set their own fees for their services.
Also from 1 January 2015, the benefit payable will be reduced by five per cent for all Medicare eligible optometry services.
For patients without visual symptoms, Medicare benefits for comprehensive eye examinations will apply once every 3 years for patients under 65 years of age and annually for patients aged 65 years and over.
However, if you have signs or symptoms of changing eyesight or a progressive disorder, such as diabetes, you can see an optometrist earlier if you need to and still receive Medicare benefits.
Your optometrist can choose to bulk bill Medicare or provide a patient account. If your optometrist bulk bills Medicare you will not pay any additional fee for their service.
If your optometrist provides you with a patient account, you can then claim Medicare benefits from us. The most convenient way to claim is at your optometrist if they offer electronic claiming otherwise you can claim online or visit a Department of Human Services Service Centre.
