求助得了子宫颈癌，但是已经做了切除手术。听医生说要做化疗。想问一下，澳洲这边有什么药品对于子宫颈癌的化疗起到比较好的作用。请问可以吃USANA这个保健品吗？会不会和医生开的药起冲突？

保健品不会起到治疗的作用，不过健全的营养还是身体恢复需要的。

想在做化疗的同时，再补些保健品。这样可能对康复比较好，但是又怕保健品和医生给的处方药有冲突。

:) 93年的时候我伯母得了子宫癌，已经3期。当时在美国，后回国工作检查身体发现后，进行全宫切除。
在化疗的同时吃的东西有：穿山甲，土茯苓煲老龟，加中药调理。
最重要的是有信心，乐观。
当年看着她化疗后吃了吐，吐了继续吃。千万不要太多想法。
16年过去了，现在退休了又跑回美国含饴弄孙去啦。

我想这里没有oncologist，他们一般没时间逛。最好咨询一下医生(medical oncologist/radiation oncologist)，他们是治疗癌症的专家。

Treatment plan depends on tumor staging, which is very very important. Chemotherapy is NOT always needed or beneficial. In China quite a lot people even receive unnecessary chemotherapy for early stage cancer, which DOES harm to patient, as chemo treats cancer and also causes serious side effects. I disrespect this kind of unprofessional behaviour. Therefore we really must balance between pros and cons. As a doctor, we really should consider patient as a whole person physically, psychologically and socially.
Actually radiotherapy plays a much more important role than chemo in cervical cancer treatment.
Chemotherapy is not a first choice treatment because:
cervical carcinoma is relatively radiosensitive
large, bulky tumours may have necrotic centres which are never reached by chemo agents
tissue vascularity is reduced following radiotherapy so drug uptake is sub-optimal
Stage 1a simple hysterectomy 5-yr survival rate 85-90% if tumor<3cm,
Stage 1b radical hysterectomy 66%
stage 2 radical hysterectomy + radiotherapy +/- chemotherapy 62%
Stage 3 radiotherapy +/- chemotherapy 40%
Stage 4 radiotherapy +/- chemotherapy 15%
I personally dont believe traditional Chinese medicine can be used as anti-cancer therapy. Of course we can use it to boost immune system but not as a treatment for cancer itself. At this stage, only chemo and radio kill cancer cells.
All the best to your mum! Be positive and supportive. There is not much you can do, so emotional support is what you can offer. Hopefully your mum is being treated by a professional and responsible doctor.
