I have been graduated from my uni after 2 years full time study. Now I have already lodged my permnant residence online application for "Skilled – Independent Overseas Student visa" (subclass 880). And meanwhile I was granted the bridging visa A and have a full-time work right under this visa's condition. So I am just wondering in my case whether or not I am eligible for applying medicare. I will be waiting for your reply.

我去了medicare 的 office, 他们复印了我的材料，但是没有当场给我membership no, 说要审批，要等至少6个礼拜，请问楼上的两位，是不是也和我一样啊？
还有那如果我在这等待的6个礼拜里面如果生了病，那这个医药费等我拿到medicare卡后能报销吗？

理论上是应该从你的申请审批了以后开始生效，这6周应该不能COVER。但6周后如果你仍未收到卡，可以去OFFICE要求拿你的号码，用这个号码就可以看病了。
