You can get out from any stations in city. However, you will have trouble if someone is checking your ticket.

break trip是说从始发站到终点站而且是最短的路段，如果按照你的理解，你直接买Meadownbank到Rhodes的周票岂不是哪都可以去了？

In Epping --- Epping circle, officially if you purchase the weekly ticket over 20 KM (eg from Meadowbank to ST Leonards ), you can get out any stations in this circle including all the city stations. However, current system allows you to get out city stations even you have the same ticket as LZ. My 2 cents to LZ is to buy the weekly ticket from Meadowbank to Artarmon (same price as Macquarie Park) then use it in city stations. Most ticket checker does not know the above tricky.

In general, you should choose the shortest route in kilometres, however a weekly and longer MyTrain tickets may give you additional options. 可以很负责的告诉你：不能
meadowbank和Macquarie park都属于low Macquarie Circle上的站，两站距离10.32公里。
而要在low Macquarie Circle上都可以break journey, 你周票上两站间距离必须大于20公里。
RTA 手册第72和73页上写得很清楚，你可以读一下。
