经过一年多的时间,小女儿终于断奶,LD可以上班了,虽然LD上班的地点距离我们家不算远,但是需要倒三趟公车才能到达,每天清晨转三趟公共汽车可不是好玩的,天气渐冷,时风时雨,汽车站等车转车实在辛苦,况且公车时间没准,晚点早到更是家常便饭,看来购买家里的第二辆车已是当务之急。

除了买房,买车可以说是我们这些移民们来到新大陆之后的第二大开销了。特别是在如今房贷利率连续上升了12次,创下十多年来的新高,按揭还款日益增加,食品杂货各类生活用品不断涨价,汽油价格也高到每次加油时盯着油表屏幕“心惊肉跳”的情况下,购买第二辆车的预算和配置就不得不再三考虑调整了。
但是,和看房一样,往往看着看着,不知不觉就越看越贵,预算也就随之水涨船高。看到车版上一些网友购买的那些大奔驰、“别摸我”X5、奥迪Q7之类,心里只有羡慕的份儿,也就过过“眼瘾”。如果经济条件许可,谁不愿意买德国车、开德国车?但是买车并非“一锤子”买卖,买车后的维护、保养、修理、配件、油耗等也都是烧钱的玩意儿,在FQ和荷包之间,还是不得不做妥协。
比如说,我们其实非常喜欢新款的五门后掀背大众高尔夫,但其新车价格实在是超出预算,只能忍痛放弃。
个人先后曾购买过二手的日产Pulsar、Maxima(Cefiro) 、Toyota Hiace、Camry,也开过朋友的宝马、大众等欧洲车,觉得丰田车的质量还是不错的,尤其是发动机,真可以用一个词来形容,那就是“皮实”。更为关键的是性价比,未来的维护保养,零配件价格,平常的油耗等等都是普通平民百姓如我者所比较容易承受的。特别是油耗,当前阵子有预测10年内澳洲汽油价格将达每升$3元时,节能省油、中小型车明显比大型车销路看好,事实上,澳洲汽车市场似乎已有这种趋势。

Toyota’s Corolla has taken an early lead as Australia’s best-selling vehicle in 2008, according to official sales figures released today. Corolla posted a January sales record with 3,843 finding new homes in Australia, an increase of 10.3 percent over the previous January’s result.
Corolla has achieved top-seller status in seven months - once in 2005 (September), twice in 2006 (June and July), three times in 2007 (January, June and December) as well as in January 2008.

The Toyota Corolla has outsold the Holden Commodore this year, sparking speculation that Commodore's long run as Australia's most popular car might be in jeopardy.
Toyota’s Corolla remains the top-selling car in the country after the first two months of this year, shading Australia’s favourite car for more than a decade, the Holden Commodore.
While talk of a permanent changing of the guard is premature, the Corolla has never before led the Commodore in sales at the end of February. It now leads by 511 units.
Commodore sales for the first two months of this year are down by more than 15 per cent, while Corolla sales are up 13.5 per cent.
But Holden spokesman John Lindsay says the figures are skewed by the fact that Holden is no longer selling the VZ Commodore wagon, which can account for up to 1000 sales a month.
“You have to compare apples with apples. Our sedan and ute sales are actually quite strong. The drop is totally down to the wagon,” Lindsay says. Combined ute and sedan sales are up 4.5 per cent this year, but sedan sales are down 6 per cent.
Holden’s new VE-based Commodore SportWagon won’t go on sale until mid-year, which will give Corolla a big head start in the sales race for 2008.
Lindsay admits the race for the title of Australia’s favourite car will be closer than ever in 2008.
“There’s no doubt it will be closer than last year, but judging by the interest shown in the new SportWagon it should be an extremely strong seller when it enters the market,” he says.
But Lindsay stopped short of predicting Commodore would retain its number one spot.
The launch of a new Falcon in April will put further pressure on Commodore, although the demise of the Mitsubishi 380 large car has created an opportunity for more sales volume.
Toyota spokesman Mike Breen says the company won’t be chasing number one status for the Corolla.
“It’s only February and there’s a lot of the year to come yet,” Breen says.
“We’ve said in the past we’re not chasing number one (for Corolla) and nothing’s changed. We have our own internal sales targets for Corolla and that is what we focus on,” he says.
Overall, the car industry remains defiant in an environment of higher interest rates, with sales up 7.4 per cent in February.
Small cars, commercial vehicles and four-wheel-drives drove the growth, with large and medium car sales dipping.
Light car and four-wheel-drive sales were up by 22 per cent, while large car sales dropped by 20 per cent.
Overall, Toyota maintained its dominance of the market, with a record 20,703 sales for the month, an increase of 11.3 per cent on the same month last year.
In contrast, Holden sales were down 22.2 per cent for the month. Ford managed a small increase in sales, despite continued soft sales for Falcon. Toyota now leads Holden by more than 15,000 sales year-to-date.
Toyota’s Kluger outsold Ford’s Territory for the first time, but sales of the locally made Camry and Aurion continue to fall short of the company’s initial targets for the pair.
The Ford Falcon managed just 2520 sales, leaving it fifth in the sales race behind the Corolla, Commodore, Toyota HiLux and Mazda3.
Elsewhere, Mazda remained number one among the vehicle importers, registering a 10.3 per cent lift in sales.
Some of the more notable winners so far in 2008 include Audi (up 36.5 per cent), Volkswagen (up 27.8 per cent) and Suzuki (up 21.6 per cent).

这是去年corolla刚推出新款时网上的照片
家里已经有一辆比较大的四门房车,这次又是为LD买车,车身稍微小一点、驾驶、停车方便很重要。之前也考虑过Honda Jazz,但一来外形有点小,二是排量1.5cc感觉稍微缺了点“劲儿”,在墨尔本许多限速80km的路段,排量太小感觉加速不够顺畅;
我本人比较看好06年版的新款Honda Civic,流线型外表,内饰空间耗油量都很好,但却是四门Sedan房车,LD实在是喜欢五门后掀背车,这样选来选去,目标就锁定在“可肉啦”(“烤肉啦”)hatchback了。
预算本来是1万5上下的二手“烤肉啦”,但看了好长的时间,发现这个价位只能买到公里数稍高、年份稍长的02版“烤肉啦”hatchback,因为这款后掀背Corolla实在是太保值了,据说是目前澳洲市场上resell价格最好的中小型汽车。
05、06年出厂、公里数在5万以下的二手corolla hatchback在车行一般都开价1万8、9的样子,从私人手中买可能便宜一点,但实在是有些不太放心,而且请教了坛子里的两位业内专家tingtingjie和Carlover大侠之后,得知购买这款车有一个非常关键的tips就是看发动机号VIN No.一定要买字母"J"打头的,因为那是在日本原厂原装的。而在澳洲市面上有一些corolla hatchback是泰国、南非产的,发动机号码前第一个字母就不是“J”开头了。
听说06年版的新款Honda Civic同样也有这个产地问题,澳洲市面上这款06版本田Civic不少是泰国生产的。

和02~06年版的同款Corolla相比,这个新款Corolla不仅外型有所改变,最关键的是发动机有了较大的改进,从以前的单VVT-i变成如今的双VVT-i,动力更加强劲了。
这款Corolla因为排量是1.8cc,比较省油,百公里油耗大约在7.4,比较省心,将来维修保养都相对便宜。前阵子悉尼的新州皇家汽车协会NRMA还有一个碰撞试验调查,结果显示丰田的Corolla发生碰撞事故后所需要花费的修理费用最少。这虽然只是一项试验,不足全部采信,但至少从一个侧面可以看出将来的维修费用应该也是比较节省的,仅供参考下:
据2008年1月25日AAP报道,由新州汽车协会NRMA所做的一项最新测试调查显示,丰田的Corolla最经得起撞击。发生同样的碰撞事故,本田Civic所需要花费的修理费用比丰田Corolla高出7倍以上。
这项测试是NRMA与其它六个国家联合进行研究的一部分。NRMA对澳洲年销量最好的九种小型车(nine of Australia's top selling small cars were tested)进行了10公里碰撞试验。测试结果显示,以每小时10公里速度发生的碰撞,这些汽车所需修理费在$1000~$7000元之间。
其中本田Honda的Civic修理费最贵,高达$7386元,几乎是新车价格的三分之一;铃木Suzuki的Swift修理费需要$5547元,也相当于购买一辆同类新车价格的三分之一以上,而同样的碰撞,丰田Corolla的修理费只需$1019元,相当于购买新车价格的4.4%,NRMA对丰田Corolla的测试结果表示非常满意。
在汽车保险领域占很大份额的NRMA因此提醒购车人士,买车时应当把将来可能发生交通事故所需的修理费用也考虑在内,因为对于保险公司来说,这种修理费用将在很大程度上影响保险费和理赔垫底等费用。

A COLLISION in a Honda Civic costs seven times more to repair than the same accident in a Toyota Corolla, new NRMA research reveals.
NRMA Insurance today called on manufacturers to improve bumper bar design after testing revealed poor performing bumpers led to high smash repair costs, with bills ranging from $1000 to $7000 for a 10kmh collision.
The results came after nine of Australia's top selling small cars were tested in a simulated 10kmh collision, the most common type of road crash.
NRMA Insurance head of research Robert McDonald said a car's bumper design impacted greatly on the amount of damage caused in a low speed collision.
"We are certainly urging consumers to consider repair costs when looking for a new car as repair costs can have a significant impact on the insurance premium they'll pay," Mr McDonald said.
He said the Honda Civic was the most expensive car to repair, costing $7386, or almost one third of its purchase price.
Its competitor, the Suzuki Swift, cost $5547, or more than a third of its purchase price to repair.
"We are however really pleased with the performance of the Toyota Corolla, as the repair cost of this vehicle after a low speed collision was just $1019 or 4.4 per cent as a percentage of its purchase price," he said.
The test was designed in conjunction with research in six other countries to assist manufacturers to improve car design.

说了半天还没有谈到价格。这款标准配置的Corolla Ascent,厂商的零售价格是手拍档$20,990,自动档外加$2000元。
考虑到二手车的Stamp Duty是4%,从私人手里购买还没有GST,而新车进口税为2.5%,再把GST等税务的考量再加进去,觉得还是买新车算了。虽然已经超出预算,但当时确实想到了LD这么多年对我的容忍和默默支持,于是“一咬牙一跺脚”,就是它了!
刚巧,从3月1日~31日,丰田展开一项年度促销月活动,凡是购买2008年1月份以前生产的丰田各款新车(只有Aurion Touring一款例外),普通消费者均可以拿到以前只有经销商才能得到的批发价格优惠。
我向多个dealer咨询过,个人感觉这是丰田在清08年1月之前的新车,这个促销的折扣优惠有限。但是,如果同样是新车,即使2008年1月出厂和2007年12月出厂相比只差不到一个月,将来resell的年份就差一年,价格上也吃亏的。还不如买08年1、2月份生产的新车,价格再砍一下,这优惠也就出来了。

我们先到住家附近的Glen Waverley Lane Toyota。说粤语、普通话口音很重的华裔Salesman黄先生开价$26,000,吓了我一跳。我单刀直入,还价22,500,当然还可以往上再加。但这家车行的老板出来后态度相当蛮横无礼,那种爱买不买的样子,根本没有做生意的意思。我们当然站起来就走了。
在货比几家之后,最后我们来到Nunawading Toyota,因这家车行比邻墨尔本华人聚居的东部Box Hill、Blackburn等区,单单华人销售员就有四位。据称该车行的丰田车总销量不但在维州,在全澳洲都是销量第一名。
说来也巧,我们刚一进门,正好碰到该车行的销售冠军陈先生。也许是销售策略吧,他一开口就是$23,888。价格确实比较靠谱了,于是再经过几个回合的讨价还价,终于我们以$23,$00元成交,还送了金属漆,地毯等。黑色,自动挡,双气囊,ABS,六喇叭车内音响兼容mp3;Build date是08年2月日本原装生产,compliance date是08年3月。这是drive away价,已经包括:
所有税费、上牌费、一年注册路税$580、从日本运到墨尔本的Delivery fee$1541元等等。
Warranty是三年、100,000公里除了轮胎、刹车片之类易损件外完全免费保修。
1000公里时免费保养,再加6次常规保养,每到一万公里保养一次,每次固定$120元,据说四万公里时最划算,因为保养的成本就远超$120刀。
虽然是后掀背,但放下座椅以后,空间还是比较大的。
这张是网上的照片,配置比我们这辆高一些,但仪表盘的夜间颜色是一样的。

是没有写完。因为今天比较忙,加上墨尔本刮大风,电压非常不稳定,有时候还停电,因此这个帖子断断续续一直没有完成。眼看到晚上10点,这个贴已经在车版挂了整整一天了,所以还是边写边改吧。。。:)

这个牌照没有来头的,因为在车行买新车,汽车销售员一般都可以帮你挑选好一点车牌,比如华人喜欢的带8、6、9之类的号码。
我因为特地选了维州的Slim牌照,当时车行的预留好号码不多了,就挑了这个带00结尾的。
