Nissan Australia has taken to its V8-powered petrol Patrol SUV, lopping as much as $28,000 from prices across the range.
The base model Y62 Patrol now starts from $69,990 plus on-road costs, down from the previous entry point of $82,690 plus on-road costs.
Nissan has invariably added more standard equipment to the entry level model by axing the former ST-L starting variant and replacing it with the higher specification Ti.
The upgrade to Ti brings hydraulic suspension, leather-accented seats, satellite navigation, an around view monitor and a tyre pressure monitor system.
In addition, all Patrol models also feature a standard off-road monitor, which provides information on the steer angle, tyre slip and tyre pressure, and a compass.
The flagship Ti-L Patrol has been heavily discounted from $114,490 plus on-road costs to $86,990 plus on-road costs.
The revised two-grade petrol line-up comprises a sole 5.6-litre V8 that produces 298kW and 560Nm, sending drive to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic.
The V8 Ti and Ti-L models will continue to provide eight and seven seat capacity respectively.
Nissan Australia has also confirmed to Drive that it will continue to concurrently offer the ageing Y61 diesel Patrol in Australia. The oil burner has been largely without change since the early noughties.
A spokesman confirmed that prices for the diesel were unchanged for 2015, starting from $53,890 plus on-road costs.

这车其实不看油耗真心性价比神器了，配置超过lc200一大截，其实就算那台发动机，也是杠杠的，尼桑的v8supercar引擎，拖一个2.8吨的车，0-100,6.6sec也是绝了，油耗和动力成正比嘛

后来在一个论坛看见老外写的
I tested 17 liter per 100 km on the highway at 180 km/h
And 19 liter per 100 km in the city under rough acceleration deceleration.
You could say this is the extreme condition.

这车没有闭缸，高速省不了太多，不过降价后感觉路上遇到了几台才挂牌的新车，说明降价还是有用的
