Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat claims to be world’s fastest, most powerful sedan
Dodge is claiming the mantle of the world’s fastest and most powerful sedan with the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, which it has just launched ahead of this weekend’s Woodward Dream Cruise.
The fiendishly titled Charger is powered by the same 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine used in the Challenger SRT Hellcat, which has been lighting up tyres and the internet for the last month or so.

That means there’s 527kW of power and 881Nm of torque ready to fry the rear tyres. Channelling all the might and fury to terra firma is a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. The hell-raising Charger rides on split seven-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels clad in 275/40 Pirelli P-Zero rubber.
Tyre and wheel combo aside, the Hellcat is distinguished from its lesser Charger brethren by a new aluminium bonnet, which not only features an enlarged power hump, but is also punctuated by an integrated cold air intake and dual air extractors. There’s also a unique front splitter, remodelled bumpers, a distinctive crosshair-free grille, a rear deck-lid spoiler and twin four-inch round exhaust tips.

Chrysler is claiming a top speed of 328km/h and a quarter mile (402m) time of 11 seconds flat, but a 0-60mph (96km/h) time has yet to be quoted.
A brake package including 390mm Brembo stoppers with two-piece discs and six-pot calipers are charged with the task of bringing the Hellcat to a complete stop. All told, the company claims that the latest Hellcat-engined model can go from zero to 100mph (161km/h) and back to a complete stop in under 13 seconds.
Drivers who don’t want their sons, daughters or car park attendants experiencing the same level of madcap mayhem needn’t fret too much, because every buyer will be handed two keyfobs: a red one with full access to the car’s 527kW/881Nm engine and a black version with access to less mumbo. There’s also a programmable valet mode, which limits the maximum engine speed to 4000rpm and ensures that all the electronic nannies are constantly armed.

A 900W 18-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, complete with 8.4-inch touchscreen, is fitted as standard, which should do a passable job of keeping all and sundry entertained when unleashing the car’s arsenal of shock and awe isn’t appropriate.
The Charger SRT Hellcat is scheduled to start trundling down the production line during the first quarter of 2015. Regarding its appearance in Australia, we wouldn’t advise any breath holding, but late last year Fiat Chrysler did confirm to us that it was considering bringing the Challenger down under.

SRT8就是个直线加速的机器 方向感就是DEAD,转向更是极为笨重,ESC更是傻不拉唧的不明觉厉的乱介入
直观点的感觉就是整个车螺丝都没拧紧 松松垮垮 唯有一个动力,并且反应也并不快 不是手到擒来
相比之下 XR6 TURBO和SSV都比它舒服,C63就更不用说了

这个可能不能怪发动机,应该更大的原因还是车架底盘什么的。300C太重了,1.8几吨的重量,过于肥大了。Charger是不是要好一些。
