you have current employment or approved study in Australia (or financial support evidenced through a local bank statement) or

You can enter Australia without applying for a travel exemption if you are in an exempt category. You are in an exempt category and do not need to apply for a travel exemption if you:
are an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia
