there's no car seat can fit kid since new born to 7 y, but suggest safe n sound convertible for new born to 4 years old for around $300, after 4 y can buy safe n sound boost seat at $200, after that can buy a simple boost seat at $100, we used safe n sound for our twin boys since birth to now 8 y, decent quality

actually it all depends on kids weight and height, some kid of 7 y is 130 cm and some is 110 cm, some is 25 kg some is 35 kg, so age make no sense at all ...
