It is not a good idea to ask for bulk-bill (free) scan. The experience of the person doing the scan is extremely important. Not all the foetal anomalies (畸形) are detected by 排畸B超. The obstetric ultrasound specialist can detect 70-80% of foetal anomalies while the general ultrasound place (e.g bulk-billing scan) can only detect about 30-40% of the 畸形. It is true that you are pay for the quality of the service.
