新南威尔士州最大的房地产开发商之一Multiplex Group最近向有着1100名学生的Hurstville Public School捐助了20万刀，分四次（5万刀）支付。
这个公立小学的学生人数因为在学校500米开外新建的629个居住单位的公寓的落成使用而急剧膨胀起来。
观察家们相信这是新南威尔士州首次出现的捐款类型，一个地区开发商的房产项目的落成通常会带来的本地公立学校的入学招生压力，而这个例子将开创因为本地学校得到开发商更多捐款的先例。
现在还不知道这些钱会用在什么地方，但是Hurstville Public School的几百名家长已经表示反对一项有争议的缓解本地公立学校招生人数膨胀的新计划，这个计划打算把家长们在这所小学读书的孩子无论是男生还是女生都转移一个最近的男子中学校园里去就读。

在Hurstville Public School的P&C的调查里，几百名家长表示了为他们Year 5和Year 6孩子的担心。
这项计划具体措施是，从2012年开始，把Hurstville Public School的小学生们转移到附近的Georges River College Year7到Year10校园中的一个单独的教学大楼里教学，以此来缓解Hurstville Public School目前过分拥挤的教学环境。
州教育部的发言人说，小学生们将会有自己的大门通道去这个中学上课，学校也会设置隔栏来分隔Hurstville Public School的小学部和Georges River College校园的中学部。
发言人说：“在为小学生们升级的中学校园里，所有的教室，厕所和户外活动区域将会是小学生们专用，由Hurstville Public School的老师监督管理。”
Georges River College这个男子中学的教学安排时间会调整到和Hurstville Public School的教学安排错开以避免冲突。
Hurstville Public School的P&C的发言人Jason Yao昨天说，非常担心Hurstville Public School将会失去学校的整体性。
同时P&C也担心Year 5和Year 6的学生们将会失去成为学校辅导员和学生委员会领导的机会。

A little school's large windfall as developer donates $200,000
ONE of the state's largest developers has helped a primary school accommodate a surge in numbers with a $200,000 donation.
The payment by Multiplex Group was delivered in four $50,000 instalments to Hurstville Public School, which now has almost 1100 students.
Enrolments were swelled by children from families living in a newly built 629-apartment development just 500m away.
Observers believe the donation, the first of its type in the state, will set a precedent for more payments by developers to government schools swamped by new students from building projects.
It is not known what the money will be used for but hundreds of parents at Hurstville Public School have opposed a controversial plan to ease the pressure on the school by moving both male and female primary students into a neighbouring boys' high school.
The families said the $14 million plan to ease serious overcrowding at the southern Sydney primary school would will expose girls aged 10 and 11 to potential bullying by much older secondary boys.
"Several hundred" parents expressed their fears for Year 5 and Year 6 children in a survey by the Parents and Citizens' Association.
The primary children will be accommodated in segregated buildings within the adjacent Georges River College Year 7-10 campus from 2012 to ease the primary school's squeeze.
A Department of Education and Training spokesman said that the primary school students would have their own entrance to the high school - and that barriers would also separate them from the college campus.
"All classrooms, toilets and outdoor play areas in the upgraded area will be used only by public school students, with Hurstville Public School teachers providing supervision," the spokesman said.
"Timetable changes for the college campus students will be made to avoid occasions where they may be in the vicinity of public school students."
Hurstville Public School P&C Association spokesman Jason Yeo said yesterday the primary school feared it would lose its identity,
It was also feared Year 5 and Year 6 students would lose their opportunity to become mentors and school leaders.

在早些的报道里说，家长们强烈反对这项拆散Hurstville Public的计划，由此参加学校P&C的家长人数激增了3倍之多，家长们都要在P&C里发言反对这项计划。
教育部计划把Hurstville Public小学5年级和6年级的学生移到Georges River College Hurstville Boys Campus，这个男子中学的前身是Hurstville Boys High School。
家长们说，政府应该给Hurstville Public School单独投资来进行基建扩大小学的规模，而不是把小学分隔成两个部分。

PARENTS who have questioned the Department of Education's plan to divide students at Hurstville Public School fear concerns about their children's well-being have been ignored.
The department wants to relocate year 5 and 6 students from the primary school, to Georges River College Hurstville Boys Campus (formerly Hurstville Boys High).
It hopes the move will ease the strain the overcrowded primary school faces from high enrolments.
The department has planned a $14 million upgrade of underused facilities at the high school.
From 2012, the primary school students will attend the redeveloped site, which will have its own entrance, and barriers will provide separation from the college campus.
But many parents said they feared the shift would lead to a breakdown in student relationships or bullying.
Hurstville Public's Parents & Citizens committee said its school would benefit from greater funding for more infrastructure.
"Our school has grown enormously in the past 10 years,'' P&C building sub-committee chairman Jason Yeo said.
"We have continued to campaign for new classrooms to cater for the expansion,'' Mr Yeo said.
Since parents were informed about the proposal in May this year, Mr Yeo said the school's P&C membership had tripled.
"That is an indication of the concern felt by the parent community,'' he said.
Xuemei Alexander, a parent, said the move was not a long-term solution.
Emily Goon, a parent, said the school should remain ``a single unit''.
"Our school has been increasing and that's a good thing. It means it has a good reputation,'' she said.
"There may not be a big age gap between primary and high school students but their maturity levels are different.''
A department spokesman said the redevelopment of the college campus made ``best use of existing public facilities and avoided reducing playground space at the school''.
He said the department would continue to work with parents to address operational concerns.

主要在1999年以前，南区从Kogarah， Brighton-la-sands, Kinggrove, Bexley, Carlton，Hurstvile小学考OC，只有2个班，（60个学生）在Hurstville Public School，所以弄的这个学校很火。而且在附近的Community内，他们学校的人数也最多，所以财政拨款也多。
