墨尔本的媒体没有就NAPLAN的成绩对其小学进行过排名。
具体的情况只能一个个的去My School 网站上查。

原来在http://bettereducation.com.au/上有排名，现在没有了。
原因是：

This website provides informative and comparative school results and information including private school scholarships and selective schools to parents wanting to make choices about schooling for their children. We also provide free service to the community in Australia and abroad by answering questions via emails. The website is just a hobby, and not for commercial purposes. Advertising on the site only covers the running cost, but not the labour cost.

As mentioned in ABC News, we have been ordered to remove all NAPLAN school ranking tables from our website.

Why cannot we keep school results more transparent? Why some people are so scared of the NAPLAN result tables? "The transparency and accountability, especially through the wide availability of school performance data, can only benefit policymaking in the education sector, as well as assisting decision-making by parents". As we all know, parents we would not make their choice of children's schools based simply on academic performance, but it is one of the major factors they would consider. Underachieving schools won't be disadvantaged as it could be a powerful argument for more resources for them. Then there comes performance improvement. They will become most improved schools!

A career English teacher living and working in China wrote to us: “To answer the perennial question of which are the academically superior schools in England is easy, there is a web site that lists all that countries private (independent) schools in decreasing order of academic success. My problem is Australia, my home-land to which I encourage Asian parents to think of first…I am trying to support the education system in my country but am hindered by a lack of easily obtainable and credible information”.

Privately run school rankings site riles union

The Australian Education Union wants another website publishing school rankings based on NAPLAN test results to be closed down.

In February the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) ordered the closure of a similar site that charged for written reports.

The union's South Australian president, Correna Haythorpe, says its federal executive will tomorrow discuss the latest Better Education website, which is funded by advertising.

"We don't believe there's any difference between a website that sells a list of league tables as opposed to one that offers it for free and has private advertising on the website," she said.

"We have an opportunity through the Senate inquiry that is now happening at a federal level, but also with ACARA about this particular website and we'll be raising those concerns there."

But a spokesman for the Better Education website, Hong Wang, says he is providing a public service to parents in Australia and abroad.

He says advertising on the site covers the cost of domain hosting.

"It also provides additional information such as school results, scholarship information and so on," he said.

"We never sell any information and basically it's a hobby."

排名前面的学校怎么都好远啊

我个人反对对整个小学进行排名，这样会打乱原来的教学理念，最后让小学学习变成和国内一样。

你要考虑在哪里买房子，其实只要遵循一个原理就行了，那就是小学的好坏基本上跟房价成正比。当然，华人多的地方除外。

非常同意ls的观点！我家邻居是个天主教学校的deputy principle，她说，整个国家一张考卷，一个学年只用一次考试来衡量，实在是不公平，这不就给取消啦! 当初我特郁闷，为什么好多非常好的私校，成绩反倒不太理想呢？原来是我庸人自扰了。好区的小学普遍好，这个没的说。我记得有个tz发帖子，说自己旁边的小学是名校，结果在bayswater south。
