Just don't pay the CPA membership renewal fees and you will automatically withdraw yourself as a CPA member when the renewal date expires. There is no need to call CPA

actually dont worry about membership fee when you are only an associate member, CPA will call you and waives all overdue membership fee to beg you restart CPA courses
