Had a conversation about taking CPA or CA with our group financial director yesterday.
He is a CA, he claimed the difference between CA and CPA, is the same Sugeon and GP, or Barrister and Solicitor.
What's your thinking?
Anyway I didn't do any of them. I am doing ACCA now

Chartered Accountant - if you want to be an auditor or financial reporting role then CA status is more recognised and value added. (in the real work places "Yes" and CAs are very arrogant)
Certified Practicing Accountant - if your role relates to A/P, A/R, bookkeeping, tax and less reporting work then CPA is fine.
I am talking about the job market in Australia.
Nowadays the quality of CA/CPA program has been changing - means CA is getting easier and CPA is getting harder.
