刚刚收到advancement to CPA status 的邮件,是不是就说明从今天起就是CPA了呀?
论坛上的TX有没有谁知道什么时候可以收到会员证书呢?

congrats, you are one of the CPA members today. The cerficate will be issued in April in our situation.
I sent in the mentor testimonial two and half weeks ago by registered post and called CPA member services up earlier today with a tone of complaint. The gent on the other end took my call and then put me on hold for further investigation. 10 mins later he came back to confirm CPA would respond to my request COB. 20 mins later I got the email confirmation that I have advanced to CPA as well. Sometimes life needs another push on the button. Hurahhhhh ;)

俺要换工作,可是貌似工作还是不大好找呢。。。

我是用email申请的,也是大概两周半的时间批的,有时候CPA效率比较低,要催一催才行。也恭喜你呀。:-) 还有一个问题,之后的CPD HOURS你打算怎么准备呢?

恭喜一下 :-),我现在怀孕32周了,两周前刚辞职,准备下半年休息好了再找。为什么你打算换工作呢?老板应该在你成为CPA之后给你涨工资吧?

there are heaps of ops to accumulate for CPD hrs. i am planning to take a shot at the SAP expert pack in the skillsnet and then claim a minium 20 CPD hrs for the year. Still pondering whether I should go for CFA down the track. Cuz one basically can claim 120 CPD hrs if he passes plus the cost is only 1k odd bucks.

因为最近刚辞职,至少要过大半年才会去找工作,以前公司会提供training,以及给你报名seminar什么的。看来不工作的话只有自己掏钱去听讲座了。 =(

Just called CPA, our certificates will be either presented during a ceremony in April or will be mailed to the members who choose not to attend the ceremony. The ceremony is free to go for the member and one nominated guest.
Date of Ceremony:
Melbourne: 3rd April 2012
Sydney: 18th April 2012
Letters will be sent out at least 4 weeks before the ceremony for RSVP.
So far they haven't sent the letters

not sure if you've used up all your leave entitlements before you tendered your resignation or part of them was cashed in?

well, depending on your company policy, in some cases the employees could choose to use the accrued sick/parental leave and then annual leave when they go on maternity leave. Once these entitlements are used up, the paid maternity leave kicks in. Because the employer is not bound to pay super on termination payment incl. accrued annual leave. Submitting your resignation prior to your maternity leave could potentially be a loss in the end... Anyway, you may have know all these very well.

Yea,因为我12周的时候就从full time改成part time了,一周上三天。我工作的会计事务所不大,没有government或者大的company福利好,老板说要我一直工作到36周而且是full time的话才可以享受maternity leave,所以后来决定辞掉了。

to satisfy the paid parental Leave work test one must:
a, worked for at least 10 of the 13 months prior to the birth or adoption of your child, and
b. worked for at least 330 hours in that 10 month period (just over one day a week) with no more than an eight week gap between two consecutive working days.
A working day is a day you have worked for at least one hour.
You may meet the work test even if you work part time prior to the child's birth.
It's a bit dodgy if your boss said that...
