S Club 7 have said they will be ditching their 90s outfits of belly tops and bandannas for their upcoming 25th anniversary tour.

The group's original seven members have reformed for the first time since 2015 and told how they're kids are excited to see them take to the stage together.

Speaking at a press conference announcing their tour, the group were asked by BBC presenter Scott Mills: 'Do we think that the outfits will change or remain the same?'

Rachel Stevens quickly replied: 'Some will have to firmly stay in the nineties'.

Reminiscing on some of their iconic looks that will be left in the past, Bradley McIntosh added: 'The bandannas,' while Hannah Spearritt said: 'The belly tops'.

The news you didn't know you needed? S Club 7 have reunited - eeek!

They gathered on the sofa of The One Show, and we couldn't help but swoon over their style sensibilities, which are a long way away from their Y2K aesthetic.

Hannah Spearritt particularly caught our eye, as she matched her pink hair with a pretty rose adorned midaxi dress. Crafted from a black duchesse-satin, the vintage-inspired frock by Ganni is both feminine and flattering, so ticks all the boxes for us.

Speaking about the joy of reuniting, Jon Lee said: 'It's obviously really exciting. There's lots of moms and dads in the group now.

'So it's not just a new generation for other people, but for our kids and nephews and nieces as well who were really, really excited about seeing their uncle and moms and dads up on stage.'

Rachel is mother to Amelie, 12, and Minnie, eight, with her ex Alex Bourne while Hannah is mother to Tea, four, and Tora, three, with fitness instructor Adam Thomas.

Tina Barrett is mother to son Roman, six, and Jo O'Meara shares son Lenny, six, with her ex Billy Slate.

Speaking about her family, Hannah said: 'My kids are small so theyre just sort of like realising so they kind of know that mommy holds a mic sometimes and so they'll point at the TV then they just think I'm every blonde girl on the TV.'

Discussing how the reunion came together, Rachel said the group were all contacted individually by their old manager Simon Fuller, who also famously managed the Spice Girls.

She said: 'So at the end of last year, we got an email from Simon Fuller and then we all started chatting, we set up a WhatsApp group and it was just such a positive energy.'

Tina added: 'It was quite surprised to me actually because it's so hard to get all seven in the same room and obviously everyone's leading their own lives, but I really wanted it to happen.

The band said: 'After eight years it feels amazing to announce that we're reuniting and performing together again'

Two in a million: All seven members of the band - L-R Rachel, Paul, Jon, Tina, Jo, Hannah and Bradley ¿ will come together for an 11-date arena tour across  UK and Ireland (pictured 1999)

'It's a big celebration and we just all started chatting coming up with ideas and yeah, so we're just super excited to get back out there and do our thing.'

S Club 7 formed in 1998 and had four number ones during their seven years together along with a number one album.

Jo believes the group's impact on pop culture reaches far and wide, citing bands like Little Mix as being similar to them.

She said: 'I think a lot of like BTS and K pop. And also I do get it with like little mix.

'I know that they're not a mixed group in that sense, but I think their whole vibe is quite as clubby most definitely.

'I think a lot of people took a lot from S Club and done their own interpretations of it.'

The group were also asked if they had any reservations about reuniting, Rachel said all seven members are in a 'brilliant place'.

She said: 'I think we just want to get up there and bring some joy and positivity and you know, I can speak for myself and my kids listen to our music.

'I think our lyrics and everything are so joyful and so positive and to bring that to kids today and that nostalgia like we were saying before, I think it's just such a special thing to be a part of.

'So we just feel very grateful to be back and have the opportunity to have fun as well and just have a good time.'

S Club 7 had a passionate fanbase during their heyday, with Jon revealing one fan once snuck into his hotel room.

He said: 'I have actually walked into a hotel room before and found one sitting on the bed, i said how did you get in and they said they pretended they were my cousin.

'At hotels we'd have pseudonyms and  we used to have to come up with these names and everyone got really cool ones and I called myself Dave.'

Paul Cattermole launched a new career as a YouTube tarot card reader back in 2021 and said the cards have predicited good things for the group's tour.

He said: 'Yes. It was the Wheel of Fortune twice - so that's good luck

'There were other cards too - ace of cubs - your passion new beginnings, your cup overunneth with passionate emotion, positivity.'
