便宜的的确是染色的，但和白蚁无关。

there are two types of mulch
dyed
natural
And it has nothing to do with price..there are expensive dyed mulch as well.
And yes, mulch may attract termite regardless which type. And mulch will attract spider as well.
But that is not necessarily a problem, as if you can just keep the termite out of your house.
I've heard from my pest control guy say most of the termite (and other nasty insects such as bed bug) infestation are caused by infected second hand furniture that people brought into the house.
