You are invited to participate in a trial virtual one-on-one video Australian citizenship ceremony on XXXX.
This virtual ceremony is part of an initial trial approach with the view to rolling out virtual ceremonies more broadly in the coming weeks and months.
Could you please read through the following email as soon as possible and respond by 2pm tomorrow, Wednesday, 15 April 2020 advising if you wish to participate.
Please also advise if you wish to opt out of the virtual Citizenship Ceremony process.

Background
In the current COVID-19 environment, the Australian Government has put all face-to-face citizenship ceremonies on hold to align with requirements for limiting personal interactions.
As an alternate option, one-on-one virtual ceremonies are being trialled to ensure individuals are able to receive their Australian citizenship as soon as possible. Virtual ceremonies will be trialled via a video link using WebEx Video Conferencing. You will be sent a separate WebEx invitation email with a specific time and a link to access the virtual ceremony.
Ceremony overview
Each trial virtual ceremony will take approximately ten minutes and will require you to make the Australian Citizenship Pledge out loud to the Presiding Officer (refer pledge below):
From this time forward, under God*,
I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people,
whose democratic beliefs I share,
whose rights and liberties I respect, and
whose laws I will uphold and obey.
*you may choose whether or not to use the words ‘under God’
Making the pledge of commitment is a legal requirement to become an Australian citizen by conferral.
