Just phoned Centrelink today. For a person, single, employed, no child, to sponsor two parents, the threshold now is 39,500.
And you don't need to provide TWO years of pay proof. You only need one PAST year's income proof to show that your income is above the threshold, and two weeks' pay from this CURRENT year to show that your PROJECTION income is also above the threshold.
Looks like they've lowered the standards!!!
