Free rock fishing safety workshop for 15 Chinese-speaking anglers in Melbourne
Chinese-speaking rock fishing anglers are invited to participate in a free rock fishing safety workshop organised by VR Fish, Surf Life Saving Australia, Australian National Sportfishing Association and Recreational Fishing Alliance of NSW on Saturday 28 August 2010 near Point Leo in Melbourne. Space is limited to the first 15 people who apply on a first come, first serve, basis.
Program:
10.15 am Participants Arrive
10.15 am - 10.45 am Fishing Safety Talk
10.45 am - 11.30 am Practical workshop of different fishing techniques for the rocks and rock fishing safety
11.45 am - 12.45 pm Lunch (Provided)
1.00 pm - 3.00 pm Fishing with instructors
3.00 pm Participants depart
Participants will receive a lifejacket to take home. You must have your own fishing equipment and footwear safe to wear on the rocks. You can go to our assembly point near Point Leo direct or join our bus in Box Hill. We will give you directions once your registration is confirmed.
To apply, please reply to this email, with your clothing size so we can plan for a life jacket to fit you, and your mobile phone number. Only the first 15 people get a place in the workshop.
Registration closes on 19 August 2010.
