身为运输业和旅游业从业者的Scott-Gardner说:“孤身一人,置身于Southern Alps和浩瀚的繁星之中,这种美实在难以用言语形容。Skipper's Rd是欣赏城镇风光和群山风景的最佳地点之一,也是我们最爱的拍摄地点之一,我们会花上1个钟头,直到确保一切美景都被镜头收入为止。”

Scott-Gardner称自己和妻子为“天文摄影家”。在他看来,新西兰是拍摄这类照片的绝佳地点。“天文摄影是拍摄夜空的另一种说法而已。我们从事的这种天文摄影又叫空地天文摄影,指的是用数码相机拍摄夜空和风景,无需用到望远镜。新西兰不仅有世上最美的风景,也是观测星辰的最佳地点之一。”
