网12月21日报道 援引NZ Herald消息 继以高票当选新西兰着装最差公众人士后,社会发展部长Paula Bennett再度在一项投票中位于榜首——在接受民众投票评选的“2012新西兰年度金句”(New Zealand quotes of 2012)中,她简短有力的那句“闭嘴吧,亲爱的”("zip it, sweetie")荣膺“最佳”。据悉,这项由梅西大学举办的“2012新西兰年度金句”票选活动首先经由专业评审团成员和梅西大学学生审议,从诸多“热门金句”中筛选出“十大金句”,再接受公众票选,从中选出“最佳”。
在今年的评选中,Paula Bennett在与工党议员Jacinda Ardern进行的口水战中忽然冒出的那句“闭嘴吧,亲爱的”("zip it, sweetie")成功赢得了57%的选票,位居榜首。
梅西大学新闻传播及市场营销学院Heather Kavan博士称, 这一“金句”获评年度最佳并不令人感觉意外。
“当时这就像是两名女性出于本能的争锋相对互不相让,没有任何事前设计或是安排。”Heather Kavan博士称,此外,从传播学角度上看,"zip it, sweetie"因押韵而十分顺耳好记,而且可以被广泛使用在多数语境下。
而在票选中位列第二的“金句”则来自财政部长Bill English,他曾在被要求对出售中的国有资产进行大概估价时说:“我想强调的是,这不是我们最准确的预估,它只是个预估。”( "I just want to emphasise that it is not our best guess, it's just a guess." )
Heather Kavan博士表示,这份年度金句名单反应了在过去一年内新西兰居民关心的热点——橄榄球、食品,也反应了他们的担忧——地震和经济疲软导致的生活拮据。
