网1月2日报道，援引nzherald消息，今年，三位新西兰人名列英国New Year Honours List，分别是John Buchanan，Gillian Greer，和Stephanie Martin。Sir John原籍奥克兰，因对工业方面的贡献被授予骑士称号。他在奥克兰大学拿到化学博士，因与奥克兰大学之间的商业往来著名。
Sir John 是环球医药公司Smith & Nephew的主席，位于剑桥郡。同时，他也是奥克兰大学商学院咨询董事会的成员。
Dr Greer因在国际健康和妇女权益方面的贡献，被授予Commander of the Order of the British Empire。
五年来，她在国际计划生育委员会（IPPF）任职，致力于在172个国家提供生殖健康服务。
此前，Dr Greer是新西兰家庭计划生育组织的执行理事。在2005年，她被授予Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit。
Ms Martin因在儿童和家庭服务方面的贡献，被授予Commander of the Order of the British Empire。
在超过30年的时间里，她认养了超过100个孩子。她去年退休，目前和丈夫住在奥克兰。
