1) Many Overseas buyers use their children who study here to buy (to transfer money and buy assets here). So, this group of people will not be able to buy anymore.

2) Many overseas buyers buy through their relatives and after that nominate to them at the time of settlement. this group of people won't be able to buy anymore.

3) Some Sales promotion (luxurious houses) done through overseas sale agencies and this kind of promotion will not be relevant anymore.

4) Some stay on students (after graduation) with openwork visas. These group of people will not be able to buy anymore.

5) Some tax dodgers ( using parents' name to buy and sell), this group of people won't be able to buy anymore.

6) In some extreme cases, some real estate agents use 3rd party ( parent , relative to buy) and never disclose it to the Seller and this kind of practices will not work anymore.


When things are supposed to be self-regulating but lead to abuse, this is what will happen.
It will affect the property market , some previous figures are distorted ( not accurate), most of the chinese/ indian agents who solely work on this group of people will face the music of their own medicine.

好啊,接盘侠少了,房价还有涨的动力?疯涨了这么多年,其实根源还是在有接盘侠而已,不是什么经济大好,而是有漏洞让世界有钱人来炒而已,高位接盘的炒房客,能现在断臂求生最好,别到时候,被套牢20年,麻烦了

Instead of buying properties, you should hold ur cash for another 10 years, see what u could get. An ice cream?

第四条有点存疑,别的说的挺对的 ------------> you can go and check with the right advisor, it says "resident class visa" and who has also stayed for 183 days ( to qualify as NZ tax resident).

yes and no.

It has to be an approved project with a minimum of 22 units and only a certain percentage can be sold to overseas buyers. The overseas buyers are not allowed to stay there but to rent out.

yes, you are right, this applies to not just No.4, but for overseas buyers who want to buy "approved class of apartment". The developer will need to get consent from OIO for an "approval" prior to the project development if they want to sell to overseas buyers.

新法里有提到,pr的配偶和pr联名买房可以豁免。

if you change the shareholding it amounts to a transfer of ownership, and circumventing the rules of OIO.

Any company with 25% overseas person shareholding is deemed to be a foreign own company. If there is a change of shareholding in the company, it amounts to a transfer of title.
