请问各位前辈，我有提供TFN给银行，可不晓得提供这个号有啥用途？
另，现在有打工，每两周的薪水都被扣税将近35%，很是心痛，想知道年底是否会有传说中的退税呢？

TFN提供给银行是由于你的存款利息也是需要交税的。便于以后ATO核对。

不交也可以.不过要扣接近50%的税.

You don't need to provide the tfn. However without that before the bank pays you the interest, they will reduce with the highest tax rate. When you provide bank will pay you full amount. HOWEVER it is your responsibility to include your interest income in your every year tax claim.

退税就是到7月1日以后到邮局去领一份退税的表格，填一下你今年收入多少（工资，利息，其他投资收入），已经缴了多少税。寄给税务局。税务局会计算一下你应该缴多少税，实际缴了多少税，多退少补。
回5#，要claim的话，在退税的表格里面有地方给你填的。
