近日一名自称“有中国血统”的澳洲人在抗议网站上发起“停止维州一带一路协议”的呼吁，要求维州政府中止与中国的“一带一路”协议，并强烈称维州政府只是为了拿中国的钱用于道路建设项目。
抗议文中称：
我非常担心丹尼尔 · 安德鲁的维州道路项目部分资金来自中国。 作为一个有中国血统的人。 我发现这样一个事实，在台湾和香港社会动乱和健康问题持续发生的情况下，我们的州长竟然秘密地关上门，远离公众的视线与另外一个国家进行交易，而这个国家威胁经济报复，高兴地借了大笔资金用于高速公路和道路，纳税人已经支付了很多钱在这些基础设施建设上，但是目前这些道路的状况却依然十分糟糕。
If we cannot use the money generated from registration and other taxes that go into maintaining our roads . Which we should be taking more pages from europe including recycling plastics and rubber and using it in our roads as has been successfully done and proven to have a longer lasting life and self healing is better for the environment .
我们不是用纳税人的钱来维修升级我们的道路，用欧洲的道路管理方式来使得我们的交通更好，道路寿命更长，更有利于环境。而却是偷偷和另外一个国家签订贸易协定，获取一点点利益，而这些很可能让我们在未来付出更大的代价。
我认为“一带一路”是一个非常糟糕的主意，应该立刻马上被中止。如果联邦政府和维州都不对此事负责的话，那么未来我们的政府由谁来监督？

I have huge concerns that daniel andrews vic roads projects are being partially funded by china . As a person who has some chinese heritage . I find the fact that with all this chaos and health issues going on with the civil unrest in taiwan and hong kong that our state premier can be soo foolish and out of touch to go around making secret behind closed doors away from the publics eye deals with a country that is threatening economic retaliation and is happily borrowing large sums of money for highways and roads that taxpayers already pay soo much money to for a substandard road the in compaired to canadian and European roads is a joke and the patch jobs only ad to the deterioration of the quality of the road surface the roads shoulders are a safety issue for any vehicle .

Then why should we the people be allowing our state government to freely make shady scrupulous trade and investment deals for finacial gain in which could be used against us in the near future and which could cost us tax payers more money in the long run .
This is a terrible idea and a cowardly thing daniel andrews has done and it should be stopped immediately if the state or federal government wont rein in loose cannons then who is the watcher of the watchers who can make them accountable。
