O.P.
I am churning from a FTTP connection with iiNet to TPG. I signed up and paid on the 14th February and received all the usual information etc. I have called TPG an number of times and have been told a number of things including “A problem with the system. Will call when the problem is fixed” I said I found that strange. I asked. “Was it only me or other people” No answer. Today is the 16th day?

What's strange is "churning from ... iiNet to TPG" because iiNet is owned by TPG (effectively it's the same company). What exactly do you mean by churning?

Thanks for your reply. Yes. I know it is strange to go from iiNet to TPG as thay are the “same company”. I originally had a FTTN connection and I was recently able to have FTTP so I changed my plan with iiNet. “Yes I would still be able to use my VOIP phone service with FTTP and my Fritzbox 7490”
Wrong. I could make calls but could not receive calls. iiNet used a different “technique” on their FTTN than they do on their FTTP. Something about a different method of IP addressing. We will see how they go.

I was in exactly the same situation and it took nearly a month to resolve it.
Instead of saying that you "churned" from iiNet to TPG, in fact you upgraded your existing FTTN plan to FTTP. And, yes, connecting via FTTN is different to connecting via FTTP.
As part of that upgrade service, they would have had to supply you with a new router, pre-programmed with the details of a VoIP service. In my case, when I upgraded from FTTN to FTTP they botched the programming in the router and I had to get them to provide me with a new router to replace the one they messed up. That took a couple of weeks back and forth, and daily telephone calls to them asking what was happening. It all got sorted out in the end: I received a new router; I got to keep my existing telephone number; I was able to return the old router (iiNet paid the costs) ... all good eventually ...

I had this problem with VOIP, and it took a while to fix. In my case it was because now I had been changed to FTTP my VOIP was delivered straight from the voice port on the NBN box, instead of the router, where it had been in the previous FTTN days. BUT I found TPG to be helpful throughout in trying to fix it.

Wrong.
Either get rid of VoIP or port your phone number to a VoIP provider if you want to use VoIP on your Fritzbox router.

New customers can't use the UNI-V ports on the NBN FTTP NTD.
Voice services delivered via the UNI-V ports will no longer be available for ordering with a Retail Service Provider (RSP) beyond 26 May 2024.

So I understand. Mine as in Sept 2023. Now VOIP is via the router.
