2013 Winners Announced
The 2013 Habitat for Humanity Build Challenge saw more than 1,500 children building the most amazing LEGO® houses. We were impressed with the creativity of so many builders. Houses ranged from tree huts to solar houses, from castles to self-sustainable designs. Lots of thought went into why each house would be a good Habitat for Humanity home, making it safe, healthy and affordable.
More than 15,500 votes have been received for all the houses. We are pleased to announce the 2013 winners. The following five children have collected the most votes for their LEGO® house:
1. Braxton Murtic-Kerr (8) Auckland – 733 votes
2. Maya Satake (6) Dunedin – 235 votes
3. Oliver Arancibia (9) Hamilton – 223 votes
4. James Worthington (8) Whitby – 180 votes
5. Yiduo Qian (8) Lower Hutt – 174 votes
Congratulations to the winners. They have won a latest range LEGO® prize pack.
We’d like to thank you for taking part. Your LEGO® house has helped to make people think about the importance of a safe, warm and healthy home for every family in New Zealand and overseas.
Harry and Holly will return in 2014. They are stoked with the hundreds of children who have built a house for Habitat and they look forward to seeing you again next year!
See you in 2014!
