Yes.
For taxation purpose, a "partnership is widely defined under s.995-1 to mean an association of persons carry on business as partners or or in receipt of ordinary income or statutory income jointly...."
For example, two people own a joint bank account that earns interest, both of them would be "in receipt of income jointly" as they both derive interest income.....

Interest income on a joint bank account should be returned by taxpayers in accordance with their respective beneficial interests( otherwise it will be assessed in equal shares).If either party can sign to withdraw from the account, it is deemed to be a joint account.
