So I have recently found an unknown transaction was made by my credit card, I called the bank and lodged a fraud case. They have stopped my current card and sent me a new one with new number. They are going to investigate the case and get back to me. It has been a week now. Does anyone know what happens if they are unable to find the root cause of the fraud, do I have to put up with the amount that was made by the hacker?

我上次也遇见过。银行先把钱退给我，然后要求扣钱的那一头提交证据。后来过了60天，那一头没有证据，这个case就close了。

请问一下，银行怎么把钱退回来的？因为我前几天信用卡也被盗用了，已经停卡，银行也说去调查了，被盗用的交易在信用卡里本来就是欠着钱的，是不是我先不用还这笔钱，一直等银行回复呢？多谢！

放心吧。只要确认是fraud，肯定会退回来的。其实银行也没损失，因为信用卡交易结算要时间的，钱还没有真正过到对方帐上，吃亏的是对方商家而已。我的信用卡被盗用过两次，这里要赞一下CBA，每次都是刚发生可疑交易没多久，我自己还没发现，CBA的电话就打来了，然后直接销卡寄新卡。

我是westpac的，我老公一年前在海外授权的3500刀的一张消费单又被刷了一次，他去银行要求调查，银行先算对方的错。我们暂时不用还，然后银行给我们的信用卡里多放了3500的额度。30天后，发了信说交易取消，如果再过60天对方没有异议就结束。我当即查账，那比消费记录已经没了，额度也还原了。

I leave whats owing in the credit card as how it was when I found out the fraud. I think better call the bank to follow up before doing any further transactions.

我有个同事被盗了几千块，她去投诉，银行不认，后来有人出主意去银行facebook留言，马上神回复，后来还她钱了。

最近也刚遭遇这事。
头天晚上还查过信用卡账户，正常。第二天一早，LG接到银行电话，说信用卡被盗用，是在美国Walmart实体店刷卡消费的，说短时间内被盗用了3次共600多块，已经登记了，会返还的。
发了新卡以后，看新卡帐户盗用的三笔记录还在，refund没看见，新出的账单也包含了那600多。打电话给Bankwest，说refund流程大概要6-8周，如果先把那600多也还了，到时候refund进来，信用卡账户额度就会多出来。如果不还那600多，到时候产生利息，银行也会计算并且refund的。
但是为了避免利息计算误差，觉得还是先还了。

看来返款速度不错啊。我今天打电话report double charge的事儿，信用卡公司说lodge an investigation for me, may wait for 90 days to know the result.
