昨天通过commonwealth bank的international money transfers汇了AU$10,000到国内,今天国内说钱已收到,但只收到AU$9935.15。少了差不多AU$65。汇钱的时候commonwealth bank还扣掉AU$22的手续费。
打了commonwealth bank的客服电话,回答说是可能是中间银行收的费用。问题是以前也通过同样的方法往国内汇钱,都没有发生这样的事情。
有没有知道的朋友或者最近使用commonwealth bank往国内汇钱的朋友,你们碰到同样的问题吗?

是的,用imt中间要经过2个银行,就要被扣掉差不多65块多。。。
cba就是无耻。。。

还是把钱取出来,到westpac吧,30元,没有中转银行收费。

你应该向Financial Ombudsman Services (FOS)投诉。我去年也用过CBA的IMT向中国寄澳元,结果也被两个中间银行扣去了$65。投诉结果: CBA不但陪给我两个中间银行的收费,而且陪给我CBA收的$22手续费!!

CBA会坚持说,他们在IMT的首页Terms and Conditions中有提: 可能会有中间银行收费,所以风险由客人承担。
你要坚持这一点: 你以前用过IMT汇钱到中国,并没有中间银行收费。现在CBA突然改变了政策,但却没有通告所有客户 - FOS就是据此要求CBA赔偿。

CBA claims that it’s enough to provide identification of hidden fees (charged by correspondent banks) by simply displaying a general warning message in its Terms and Conditions before a transaction starts, whereas I believe that the general warning message is not a clear identification about the fees - the IMT system has to advise a user the number of correspondent banks between CBA and a beneficiary bank after the name of the beneficiary bank is entered into the system. If it’s not possible to determine the exact number of the correspondent banks, the system should at least determine and advise the user whether the number of correspondent banks is zero or not.
CAB’s current approach would be OK for first time or infrequent users of its IMT system because a conscious user in this category would sensibly make a phone call to CBA to ask if there is any correspondent bank between CBA and a beneficiary bank. However, this approach can easily cause problems to frequent users who regularly use CBA to perform international money transfers.
In my case, I had at least 3 successful international money transfers between 1999 and 2007, between CBA and Bank of China. For at least 7 years CBA had direct relationship with Bank of China. Based on my experience of 7 years, I naturally thought that there is a long term direct relationship between the two banks. I did not realize that CBA suddenly changed its relationship with Bank of China some time in 2008 (I think). The change has never been communicated to its loyal customers by its IMT system.
You can easily blame a loyal customer for not making a phone call to CBA before he starts this new transaction. Meanwhile, does CBA have a responsibility to advise its loyal customers about the changes in its relationships with other banks through its IMT system?
I request CBA to reimburse to me the hidden fees charged by the two correspondent banks.
