维州卫生厅长Martin Foley 呼吁联邦政府给维州送去更多的疫苗
在州政府经营的疫苗中心，接种了破纪录的35,753剂疫苗。
Foley 先生说：“ 我们现在需要的是供给，满足需要。”
他说： “ 我们将继续向联邦政府要求更多的疫苗供给， 因为我们知道每一剂辉瑞，每一剂阿斯利康疫苗最终让更多的维州人民尽快为早日走出疫情做出自己的贡献。”
维州60%以上的病例是30岁以下的人士， 149个病例是10岁以下的孩子。
维州医院里超过半数的新冠病例年龄50岁以下， 包括一名幼儿。
过去24小时， 维州新增病例 64个。
有报道说， 维州正在与联邦政府谈判以获得更多的疫苗供应。
时代报报道，维州政府打算每周给 12万人接种疫苗。

Victoria calls for more vaccines as demand outstrips supply
Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley has called on the federal government to send more coronavirus vaccines to the state.
It comes after a record 35,753 doses were administered at the state-run vaccine hubs.
"What we really need is the supply to meet demand now," Mr Foley said.
We will continue to ask the Commonwealth for more supply because we know that, with every dose of Pfizer, with every dose of AstraZeneca, that we will end up with more Victorians doing their part sooner to get us out of this pandemic."
Sixty percent of cases in Victoria are under the age of 30, and there are 149 cases in children younger than 10.
More than half of the Victorians in hospital with coronavirus are under the age of 50, including one infant.
Victoria has recorded 64 new local COVID-19 cases for the past 24 hours.
There were 55,333 tests carried out and 35,753 vaccines administered.
Victorian health officials last night identified further COVID-19 exposure sites in regional towns, taking the total number of venues listed to more than 850.
A Tier 1 exposure site was listed at Barakat International Goods in Hoppers Crossing, with anyone who visited the store between August 16 and August 23 from 10am to 8pm urged to get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days.
Tier 2 exposure sites were listed overnight in Broadmeadows, Croydon, Croydon North, Footscray, Laverton North, Lilydale, Mooroolbark, North Melbourne and Wheelers Hill, with those who may have attended those venues asked to get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.
Meanwhile, there are reports Victoria is in talks with the Federal Government to secure extra vaccine supplies.
The state government wants to vaccinate up to 120,000 more Victorians every week, The Age reports.
